The actual jar opening capabilities of this gadget work perfectly fine. But the magnet glued to the back isn't capable of holding it up on the fridge or stove. It catches, but then slides down and off. One would think that whoever engineered this thing would have used a magnet strong enough to hold it up. The whole gadget, magnet included, weighs 1.5 oz, which is a fairly heavy weight for a magnet. Either the manufacturer was not smart enough to realize that they'd need a stronger magnet, or too cheap to make it properly.

This is a mixed bag, I guess. It does stick on the refrigerator just fine. And it does open cans and bottles just fine. But the plastic casing likes to pop off in my hand frequently. Life is too short for such needless annoyances. I suppose I could fix the problem with a drop of super glue. Of course, the manufacturer could have done the same before selling it to me.

Finally, a punch can opener with a magnet strong enough to hold it. This is well made and it doesn't slide down the side of the fridge. I can't believe how hard it is to find a 'church key' in my local stores; I guess every can is supposed to have a pop-top these days.
