Being a beer enthusiast, and tired of my current openers that took a couple attempts to get caps off, or slide off as you are trying to pry open the bottle, I searched high and low for the perfect opener.I finally found it. It is this cast iron fish opener. It doesn't seem like it would be a big deal, but it really is the most effective, competent, and easiest to use opener I've used. The cast iron has a nice, solid feel to it, and requires minimal effort to pop the cap off. It also gives a feeling of confidence, you know its not going to slide off, or get the cap half off, requiring a second attempt. When the cap comes off, its not bent in half like most other openers leave them, which is nice if you collect the caps.The runner up for me is the "bartender", "flat", or "speed" bottle opener, which I also bought. I got a custom screen printed one, which is kinda cool. It also works about as well as the cast iron fish opener, but there's just something about the fish opener that makes me smile, and puts it first on my list.

This fish bottle opener is brown metal and is a substantial weight considering its small size....it is not polished so expect it to be rough to the touch but without sharp edges. Super for the cabin or a fisherman-super rugged and works great!
