This waiter's friend is nicely constructed with the moving parts feeling solid and tightly built. The corkscrew comes in a wood case with a sliding door. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the beechwood is a soft wood and is not sealed in any way. It seems that liquids and dirty hands will eventually stain the wood handles. But overall, I would recommend this as corkscrews with other types of hardwood inlays can cost 4 to 5 times as much.

I bought this item a few months back. Nice looking but the first time I tried to use the bottle opener a small piece of metal that stops the opener from flopping too far back broke off. Now this item is usless for opening caps. Not impressed, don't waste your money!

This is a knock off. Though I was pretty sure it would be when I purchased it. It handles alright and allows me to leave the true $250 Ch�teau Laguiole at home. Waiting tables can be rough on your gear!
