The Metrokane classic Rabbit lever corkscrew in red pulls a wine cork in 3 seconds and works on all types of wine bottles. The handles are shaped ergonomically to fit snugly in the hands. With 31 precision parts assembled into a powerful high-tech tool, the Rabbit classic corkscrew is the ultimate cork-pulling machine. To use, clamp the Rabbit on the bottle and pull the top lever down, instantly inserting the corkscrew into the cork, then pull the same lever in the opposite direction, pulling out the cork. Pull the lever further down to eject the cork. Tested for 20,000 cork pulls by an independent lab. Note the replacement of the spiral (worm) is assumed after 800-1000 pulls. Metrokane provides a 10 year warranty against product defects.

I bought the Rabbit because I was tired of fighting with my screw type wine opener. I will admit, that after watching an infomercial, I thought this wine opener was just too cool.Its made of metal, and seems very sturdy. It took me a couple of times to get the hang of using it, but now its extremely easy. However, about 2 weeks after I bought it, I broke my wrist and couldn't grip the handles together because of my cast and weakness in my wrist.I've now owned it for 10 months and can't live without it. The foil cutter is also very easy to use.I highly recommend the rabbit, but make sure you get the metal one.

This purchase was a replacement for a Rabbit lever corkscrew that was almost 14 yrs old and had a lot of miles clocked! This is one great corkscrew that anyone can use with no effort at all. If your a wine drinker you need to own one or 2 because your friends will try to steal it when they use it!BEWARE: the electric Rabbit is a piece of junk and should be avoided at all cost! A friend gave us one as a 2011 christmas gift. Right out of the box the LCD screen didn't work. It was replaced by Metrokane free of charge and told to throw it away when the new arrived! NICE customer service! The replacement opened 3 bottles but struggled. Bottle number 4 killed it. Put it back on charger and never opened another bottle again. We were told to return it w/ proof of purchase. Well it was a gift or a replacement for a gift, we don't have a proof of purchase! They told us we needed to send it back w/ $10 for shipping and handling. Well we decicded to use the one we were told to throw out (call me cheap i don't care). It also died after about month of use. We threw them both out! Back to the Origanal Rabbit Classic forever.
