UPDATE:In my initial review, I had been using it wrong. This thing works great. Just press down and turn screw into cork, then stop pressing down, but continue turning, and it will simply float out of the bottle! Awesome, and so easy!Initial review:Maybe I'm missing something, but this thing does not open a wine bottle for me. I've tried on several bottles. It's easy enough to screw the opener onto the cork.... but... how do you actually get the cork out of the bottle? Simply turning the screw in the opposite direction does not do the trick, contrary to the stated instructions and other reviews. Maybe I have a lemon, or maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I find myself consistently going back to the free corkscrew I have laying around, which consistently works when used properly.

The title says almost everything. You just have to screw up to get the cork out and you can screw the other way and the cork will automatically come out. The cutter is not very useful, but the other part works so well, it still deserves 5 stars.
