I had bought a wall mounted bottle opener and was just using a bucket on the floor to catch all the caps, then I saw this and decided to give it a try. It works perfectly. Just as you would expect it to. I mounted 7 inches below the opener and it never falls out. Then when it gets full all you do is pull it off the screws and empty. Great design.

I bought and mounted a bottle opener near my beer fridge. The plan was to put something underneath it to catch the caps. After about a week or so, I decided that the solution was in fact a professionally made cap catcher and not some random trash can. While I am satisfied with my purchase, the cap catcher doesn't seem to catch every cap, (could be user error), and it also seems to fill up rather quickly. It is not a bad deal at around 12-15 dollars, but it also seems like one could accomplish a similar task by drilling a hole in a plastic cup or tupperware container. Either way if you're going to buy the bottle opener you may as well get the cap catcher.

This catch pan looks nice, but it is made with some pretty cheap stainless from China. I coated the inside with bed liner to avoid rust, and this works very well. The outside started rusting within about a month, so I now "metal wax" it every month to keep it looking nice.
