I've used several types of corkscrews, but nothing works as well as this! Just screw it into the cork until the arms are raised, push them down, and out comes the cork. If the cork doesn't quite come all the way out, just wiggle it a little or turn the screw a little more and out it comes. I sometimes re-cork the bottle by lifting the arms and using the corkscrew to work it in.My old one broke after many years of use - one of the plastic side pieces finally snapped. This new one has sturdier, thicker plastic and should last many more years.The company stands behind their products and sent me a replacement no problem.I've owned and used giant showy table-top units, little gizmos that grab onto the neck of the bottle, and simple little twist-in-pull-out ones (ugh!).The only thing lacking is the ability some corkscrews have to re-cork the bottle simply by pressing a lever - but those corkscrews tend to be larger, more complicated and awkward - and break more easily. Besides, with this one you can have fun moving the screw up and down and watch the little guy wave his arms around in the air.For the price, you won't get a more compact, durable and easy to use corkscrew than this. And it fits nicely into a small space in a kitchen drawer.Made in Italy.

very nice price and quality,worth every penny, no need to spend any more for a fine wine opener.Had a predecessor for many years that failed and did not want to spend on looks or fashion,just a wine opener and this fits the bill.

I bought this corkscrew about six months ago and it worked fine until the screw part CAME OFF IN THE CORK. It was not attached. The screw part had an eye in it for a cross piece, and the part it fit into had places where a cross piece could go if they had ever finished it, but there was no cross piece and it was bound to fall apart in time.
